Call me a bleeding-heart, tree-hugging hippie-liberal if you want, but I still think the Bush Administration's last-minute tweak of the Endangered Species Act (an adjustment that allows industrial companies inflicting environmental damage to be the ones who will call the shots about whether or not their development will affect surrounding animals) is, frankly, bullshit. Think about this. Hmm, I'm the CEO of an ugly disgusting oil company and I would like to drill in a protected area full of threatened species. Well, although I'm aware of that fact that my business and its doings will threaten the environment of the natural inhabitants of this land that I am invading, if I have to decide between killing polar bears or making billions of dollars this year on oil drilling, well, I think I choose me.
I shake my head in disapproval. It's pathetic. And it's an outrage. I am so disgustingly angry at George Bush and everything that he stands for that I don't even know how to go on. Raging anger at this blatant disregard for the environment and God's creatures. Such complete disrespect for the world that we live in, how can you live with yourself Bush and Secretary Interior DICK Kempthorne?? How!?
I cannot wait till Obama gets into office. You have no idea.
Or Life as a Medical Student. (but not completely all about medicine because sometimes, you can just get sick of talking about the good ole' MD)
