Or Life as a Medical Student. (but not completely all about medicine because sometimes, you can just get sick of talking about the good ole' MD)

A lunch date with Shirley MacLaine

On Monday, I will have lunch with the Dean of the medical school and Shirley MacLaine in an effort to brainstorm the creation of an alternative medicine center at USC. I am going to be the representative on behalf of the medical students. Crap, that's pretty darn exciting!! I am much work to do to prepare for this - I need to work on brainstorming the creation of The Well: USC's premiere wellness center for students and staff of USC. This is all pretty random and totally out there, but I think it's so fantastically random and wonderful. I will keep y'all posted out there with how the lunch date went.

The meeting alone went really well. She was impressed with the ideas. Our only problem that we soon realized now is finding a strong leader who can adequately represent what we are trying to do. It should be someone with an allopathic MD, but simultaneously someone who is very open to alternative modalities as a viable form of treatment.
